Nightlife businesses in cities throughout the nation are mobilizing into associations to protect their social, cultural and economic contributions to the vitality of their cities. Centralized leadership and increased civic engagement among hospitality business owners have set new precedents for effective coordination with city government and peer-to-peer mentoring. By acting as advisory liaisons between the hospitality industry and both regulatory and enforcement bodies, associations have raised the bar on nightlife management and public safety.
