Dining and entertainment venues offering
food, licensed beverages, music and dance are subject to
exceptional responsibility in protecting their patrons
and reducing impacts to the surrounding community from
underage drinking, intoxication, drunk driving, noise,
trash and litter.
Although responsible beverage
service training is now a requirement in most states and
cities throughout North America
and many other countries worldwide, attention has only
recently been placed on training of security and safety
staff. Increased vigilance and proactive monitoring of
patrons at the door and inside venues have been linked
to reduction in violence and closing time incidents on
the street, thereby ensuring a high standard for
residential quality of life.
